Portriat format. Hardback. 96 pages. B&W. The Corris started as a tramroad running mostly adjacent to the highway and was mainlyused for the conveyance of slate. Acquired by the GWR in 1930, closure eventually took place following nationalisation. Subsequently, the Corris Society was formed in 1966 and the line reopend to traffic in 2002. By contrast, the Vale of Rheidol route to Devil's Bridge survived several changes of ownership and continues to operate to this day.
