Portrait format. Hardback. 295 pages. B&W. Track diagrams. Min. wear to top and bottom of dust cover but nothing onerous. Vol 2 continues with an account of both railway systems from 1908-1922 which were absorbed into the enlarged GWR in 1923 and eventually become part of the Western Region of British Railways following nationalisation. The railways saw relatively little development after that time and were mostly closed in the 1960s. The docks and industry around them continued to expand to the present day.
